This is the story of a Nob(i)le in Montepulciano: it was generous, well-loved, and very well-known since it was one of the most ancient wines of Italy. Its origins date back to the Early Middle Ages and to the vineyards around the “Castle of Policiano”. But it is likely that its roots go all the way back to the Roman Empire.
